Frontier Health’s recent improvements in Alcohol and Drug services in outpatient and residential treatment services resulted in an enhanced rating from the state of Tennessee.
The changes included linking services to meet the unique needs of clients with both a mental health diagnosis and substance abuse problems and providing individualized treatment from the first visit to their maintaining recovery.
Frontier Health also changed the first assessment process for clients so that the provider identifies the client’s needs, and the client can understand issues that led them to treatment. Then, they can work together to provide in-depth services that lead to recovery. This also helps the client understand their, “Readiness to Change.”
The mission statement was also changed to better address client’s needs, improving client education that helps identify and treat co-occurring issues, and blending mental health and substance abuse intervention that help meet complex client needs.
