Program
Adventure is an intensive
outpatient program that serves youth ages 13 to 18 who are seeking
help with substance abuse and/or psychiatric issues. It may be a
primary treatment program or a follow-up program for youth involved
in other treatment.
Arts
SMART
Arts Smart is a Community
Prevention Initiative, Arts enrichment / parent involvement program
that share ideas about prevention of Alcohol & Drug Use, Sexual
Behavior and other Risky Behaviors. The program is for 3 to 7 year
olds and uses karate, dance, music, and drama.
Assessment
& Forensic Services
Assessment & Forensic Services assists children, adolescents
and adults who are self-referred, referred by treatment providers,
or referred by other community agencies.
Psychological
assessments help identify and clarify possible problem areas in
order determine appropriate diagnoses and recommendations.
Bridging
the Gap
Bridging the Gap is a
community-based program that seeks to bridge the gap between local
older adults and their mental health needs.
Child
Abuse Prevention
Child Abuse Prevention provides parent education groups offered
at no charge to parents in Carter, Greene, Hancock, Hawkins and
Washington counties.
Children
First
Children First is a court-mandated program for divorcing parents
with children under age 18 that provides counseling classes and
preliminary mediation education.

& Hard of Hearing
CCDHH provides communication between people who are hearing and
people who are deaf or hard of hearing in 11 counties.

Treatment Team
Continuous Treatment
Team is an intensive therapeutic in-home program offering both therapy
and case management services. It is designed for families whose
children are at-risk of hospitalization, out-of-home placement,
or are being transitioned back into the home from placement. Services
are provided in Carter, Greene, Johnson, Sullivan, Unicoi and Washington
counties in Northeast Tennessee.
Crisis
Services & Crisis Stabilization Unit
The 15-bed inpatient Crisis Stabilization Unit offers services for
24 to 72 hours for people who have severe and persistent mental mental
illness in need of stabilization, but who are not a danger to themselves
or others.
The Mobile
Crisis Response Team is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
If you, a family member or friend are in acute emotional and/or
substance abuse crisis or have a question about our services, call
us. If the individual experiencing the crisis has made an attempt
to harm self or others, call 911 immediately.
Frontier
Health’s Crisis Response Team provides mental health crisis
services including assessment and referral for individuals and families
who are experiencing acute emotional and/or
substance abuse problems.

Provided through outpatient sites, the Employee Assistance Program
contracts with regional businesses and industries to provide a program
tailored to suit their needs including short-term counseling, assessment
and referral, follow-up, educational seminars, critical incident
stress debriefing and service 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Family
Links
Family Links provides short-term respite care for children who have
serious emotional disturbances. We serve children age 2 to 15 for
up to four hours per week. Our services typically run six to eight
weeks and referrals are provided for additional respite care.

Partner
The Family Partner Program works together for families in Southwest
Virginia to help support each individual family in service development
according to their unique needs.

FOOTHOLDS
works one-on-one with children and their families to build a healthy
family environment. The program helps identify obstacles, increase

provides support, guidance and links to resources; and educates
caregivers.

Challenge
The Greenwood Challenge ropes course is a carefully planned outdoor
learning environment where mental and physical problem solving activities
are included.
HOPE

Previously known as Project HOPE, HOPE for Tennessee provides education
and prevention services to more than 100,000 people annually through
street outreach, community events, health and state fairs and group

Intensive Focus is a program that leads students in a small group
process of 8 to 15 sessions, meeting one hour weekly that helps

Intensive In-home Services, a home-based family-focused
program for children from birth to 17 with emotional difficulties,
returning from placement, at risk of out-of-home placement.

Connection
Mother-Child Connection is an outpatient program for pregnant, substance-abusing
women or mothers with infant children. Treatment includes individual,
family and group therapy, substance abuse treatment, health and

Prevention Services provides the community with
basic prevention strategies to enhance protective factors, such as
promoting positive mental and emotional well-being and decreasing
risk factors such as peer pressure and availability of drugs.

BASIC
Project BASIC, founded
in 1985, serves elementary students in 39 counties in Tennessee.
Project BASIC is funded by the Department of Mental Health and Developmental
Disabilities.
The coping skills, self-confidence and problem-solving
skills developed by the BASIC program will help students make GOOD
choices throughout their lives.

This PD1 outpatient program for pregnant, substance-abusing women
or mothers with dependent children in Lee, Scott, Wise counties
and the city of Norton, Va., provides substance abuse treatment
and linkage within the community for resources that promote and

Regional Child Development

Intervention Program
RIP is a nationally recognized,
parent-implemented, activity-based program for families of young
children. It is offered free of charge to participants. RIP is fully
funded by the Tennessee Department of Mental Health and Developmental
Disabilities.
Runaway
Services & Project Safe Place
The Runaway Program is housed at Link House. One aspect is Project
Safe Place, offering emergency shelter and counseling up to 14 days.
SAFE
House Domestic Violence Shelter
Safe House is a temporary shelter for victims of domestic violence
and their dependent children open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Assistance Program
SAP provides intervention
for at-risk students at schools in Greene, Johnson, Sullivan and
Washington counties with academic, social and/or behavioral problems.
SAP’s goal is to provide clinical services for students with
significant emotional and behavioral issues and help schools maintain
safe and disciplined learning environments.

Prevention & Intervention
Death
by suicide is one of the greatest health risks in Tennessee and
Virginia. More than 775,000 Americans attempt to die by suicide
each year. Suicide affects people of all ages, races, and socioeconomic
groups.
TRACES
Therapeutic Foster Care & Adoption Services
TRACES Therapeutic Foster Care & Adoption Services serves children
and teens who are placed in state custody due to abuse or neglect.
These children generally have behavioral or emotional problems and
need a more specialized type of care than is offered in traditional
foster care. Foster parents receive intensive pre-training and ongoing
support from the staff in providing this specialized care.
TRANSITIONS
Helping today's teens become tomorrow's adults, TRANSITIONS teaches
independent living skills of 16- to 21-year-olds so they may achieve
independence in the most appropriate, least-restrictive environment
in Lee, Wise and Scott Counties and the city of Norton.
VALUES
Therapeutic Foster Care
VALUES serves children and teens from infancy to age 17 who have
